HARK THE HERALD ANGELS SING! ALL OVER THE WORLD!

EDIT July 13, 2014: This is still happening.  Check out http://www.thehum.info/

On Sunday, January 22, 2012, I awoke about 730 or 8 AM to what I initially thought was a jet flying over head.  Except it kept going back and forth. In fact, it really sounded like a ball rolling back and forth in the sky.  It didn't circle.  It just went back and forth.

My Spirit Guides suggested I get up and go outside to look at the sky.

What will I see? I asked.

Nothing, they responded.  I sort of laughed.  I am not a morning person.

Why should I get up then? I queried further.

To be part of it.  To be part of the people all over the world witnessing it and looking to the sky.  They were quiet excited about it.

You mean my neighbours are outside? I asked.  I don't really have a lot of neighbours I like. About half are students that stay for a semester then move.  The more stationary ones are not friendly. I've lived here for over a year and even in a snowstorm people drive past me without offering me a ride. I used to say "hi" but the responses are so uneven I just gave up.

The other thing is, I see and hear things all the time that other people don't.  And when it comes to UFO's I always assume any beings that are riding in tin cans must be as lowly evolved as the muggles on this planet.  An advanced species would astral project here.  (Actually a lot of spirit sightings are astral projections from other planets and dimensions.)

So I opened my window to look out at the mostly overcast sky and I astral projected myself outside.  The sound stopped about 30 or so minutes after it began.  I went back to sleep.

It wasn't until yesterday that a girl at the head shop where I buy my incense and daily offering candles (I burn a different colour candle every day in honour of the planetary energies) mentioned the "Strange Sounds" heard round on the world on January 16th.  (I did hear the angels singing on this day, but I thought it was for a different reason, and I only heard it with my astral ears.)

She told me to go to youtube and search for "strange sounds january 16th".  Some of the videos are hoaxes.  Some it is hard to hear.  The following two reflect what I heard on the 22nd.

Before I wrote this I asked what these sounds were.  The answer I got was cryptic. "You will find out soon enough."

Just me? I asked.

All with ears to hear and eyes to see, they said.

And what this means, as this is something I often say to people, is that we magickal folks often experience things that others do not.  It isn't just that this world contains more than your average Horatio can dream of, it's that we don't live in a shared reality.  None of us, muggle or magickal or extra terrestrial.

We live in a multiverse of realities.  Some people will experience this as a hoax.  Many won't experience it at all.  For some it will be peripheral to events in their mudane lives (a baby being born, a loved one dying, a fire alarm going off, etc).

So, for those with ears to hear, take a moment to listen to these:

NEW MOON IN AQUARIUS AND NEW YEAR OF THE DRAGON

It might be the end of the Mayan calendar this year, but not for the Chinese.  The Dragon is the fifth sign of their zodiac.  Buddha summoned the animals, and only twelve came.  He awarded each of the faithful a full year, according to their arrival.  The rat was first, then the ox, tiger, rabbit or cat, dragon, and next year will be my own sign, the snake.  (Then horse, goat or sheep, monkey, rooster, dog,  and finally, pig.)

Dragons have power.  The kind of power that changes the world and the course of an individual's destiny.  While I don't think it will be end of the world come the Winter Solstice, I do think the world of the Mayans is ending.  This is the New Age of Fire-- electronic fire.  This summer in particular will be cataclysmic for those not ready to change.

Mars is retrograde now, through April, and I think the best course of action until then is "eat, drink, and be merry-- but be healthy too."  Mars is in health conscious Virgo.  Get a hold of your destructive habits.  Incorporate some new routines into your life.  Organise your papers and take care of old business.  Eliminate the things, people, and ways of doing things that are making you joyful and productive.

There is a Chinese saying "may you live in interesting times."  Quite appropriate for this New Year and this New Moon.  If you are bored right now, you aren't living a life that is authentic to you.  If you are overloaded and burdened you are living a life that you have outgrown.

Trust the Dragon to help you release what is necessary.  This is no time for sentiment or nostalgia if it holds you back in any way.

These are interesting times.  I hope you are interested.  Miracles are everywhere, if you are looking for them.

Happy New Moon and Happy Year of the Dragon!

EPIPHANY, TWELFTH NIGHT

It is when trying to describe the sky, the colours and depth and quality of the light, that I always find my shortcomings as a writer.

Tonight is viscerally beautiful here in St. Louis. The weather is so mild and temperate that as I walked to the park to get a better look at the stars, I momentarily forgot I was not in California.

(I wonder, if I had not remembered, if I would have slipped into a wormhole or portkey and through the astral plane, would have come up to Delmar and found myself instead en el mar?)

The moon is almost full, and directly overhead.  She reflects the height of summer in the Southern Hemisphere.  But the moon's brightness just enhanced how clear the sky was.  And such a deep rich blue. Like a medieval painting, with an undertone of gold, and the stars sparking like diamonds against the colour.

The whole sky like the dome of a Church, and all the stars like Saints and Angels.

It is a still night with a reverent wind, rustling the remaining leaves as if the murmuring of a congregation hunting for the hymnal during Mass. A sacred night.

Tonight is Epiphany, when the Magi would have brought their offerings to the God as Wee Babe. The God at his most powerful and his most vulnerable.  It is a shame the Church does not celebrate Epiphany as an "Eve".  The bells should ring at midnight on this night, as they do on Christmas Eve.

In Marian Green's Wheel of the Year this would be the night the Sun King, reborn at Yule, would have matured sufficiently to take up his sceptre and sword.

Tonight is Illumination.  There is light enough to see everything.  Either all your blessings or your burdens, the light is bright enough to see clearly.

Tonight is a night to open the heart and let as much Love come in as possible.  Let no dark corner or crevice be spared.  Trust the night to soften the edges; to make the cabbage moth a fairy sprite, a spiderweb the lace of a Sidhe queen.

If there is something you are seeking, or something you think you might want to keep sight of during the coming winter months, tonight is the night to find it and bless it.

Adjust your compass and align your navigation charts to the stars.  Let the Love of the Universe fill you completely.

Illuminate yourself.

Let your Light shine.
