MERCURY RETROGRADE CHARMS

Mercury “Retrograde” Charms by Lady Rae

These charms were crafted with the blessings of the Gods Mercury/Hermes/Thoth and the Goddess Iris.  They contain lavender, dill seeds, and other herbs for:

·         Protection for your car from accidents
·         Protection for your computer from Mercury retrograde infrastructure and network breakdowns
·         Protection from theft
·         To protect you from misunderstandings and miscommunications
·         To promote mindfulness and clear headed thinking
·         To ensure safe travels
·         To ease or avoid delays
·         To keep the Pixies away
The will also assist with increasing the benefits of Mercury “retrograde”, that is, editing, revising, revisiting, finding lost items, and catching up with old friends.

The shadow period begins at 5:49 PM CDT (17:49) October 11 (at Scorpio 11o 35”).
“Retrograde” from 10:41 AM CDT October 31 (at 27o 38” Scorpio) through 1:12 PM CST (13:12) November 20, 2019 (at 16o 06” Scorpio).
Mercury ends the shadow period (returns to the starting point in Scorpio) on December 7 at 11:55 AM CST.
For general information about Mercury “retrograde” from an astrological perspective:

From a magickal standpoint, the God Mercury rules travel, communication, and theft, among other things.  As a planetary ruler he oversees the signs Gemini and Virgo.  During “retrograde” periods, the story is that Mercury returns to Mt. Olympus to report on the comings and goings of mortals.  So during the shadow he is preparing for travel and travelling, and during the “retrograde” period he is in meetings with the other Gods and Planetary rulers.

I invoke the protection of Iris, the “other” messenger God, best known from The Iliad.  I’ve noticed that the mischievous spirits or sprites known as Pixies love Mercury retrogrades.  I make offerings to them during this time to keep them from creating trouble for me.  Throughout the retrograde and shadow periods, I ring a bell for them and offer then milk and honey when I making offerings to Mercury and Iris on Wednesdays.

These charms were made in a Circle, with full attendance of the Gods, Guardians, Elementals, and all other entities.  These charms are my own recipe, and they are made for this specific “retrograde” cycle.  At the end of the cycle the charm (inside the red flannel) should be burned or buried.  To keep the cloth from ending up in a landfill, you can burn it (has a not pleasant smell though) or recycle at a fabric bin.  Or you can return them to me.

Blessings!
